Requirement
You must develop your own vector set following these 8 rules. Send this vector to us via email with a short description in the formats “.png” of “.jpg” as well as your contact data. email, name plus address. If available also a link to your portfolio (e.g. on behance or your own website).
rule 1: develop a new vector set with approx. 8-10 vector objects
All vector objects must be monochromatic or achromatic (without gradients or typography) and be hand made. The format of your sheet (portrait or landscape) is not important. The target file format has to be vector PDF. Pointers on software usage can be found in the

With regards to content there are no guidelines. Pick as a subject for example things, rooms, buildings or persons in your surroundings, which are important to you – and therefore unique.
rule 2: illustrations and templates must have been created by yourself
When you submit illustrations for the project we expect them to be your own illustrations. If you work with templates, sketches or photos, those must also have been created by yourself. We need to be guarantee that you have created all the work.
rule 3: you need to accept that your illustrations will be voted on
If an illustrations is to be included into the vector.town catalogue will be decided by the already existing artists of the collective. The vote will take at times a couple of days.
This will be done in a majority decision vote. A concluding explanatory statement can not be given in the case of a refusal. These rules also apply for already estabished artists, which are already part of the collective, when they submit new works.
You can always submit further illustrations and examples, to be part of the project. Each work will be judged fair and equal.
rule 4: describe the story of your illustrations
Take your time for the description! Tell us more about the objects and persons in your works. As a text, in bullet points or as a little story.
rule 5: your vector set will be exclusive for vector.town
You create your vector set exclusively for the vector.town online shop and it has not been published previously anywhere else.
rule 6: Do not use trademarked forms, logos or brands
There are forms of objects and silhouettes which are legally protected (e.g. Coca Cola bottles). This includes certain pieces of furniture with distinct geometry and cars whose silhouettes can be clearly identified as a certain brand. You should not break any brand or patent laws.
rule 7: we work digital - places of residence don't matter
Every artists who wants to participate in the project vector.town is welcome. We are of course happy if you are located locally. The voting will be done digitally, via email or
Slack.
rule 8: love what you do and be yourself
That’s the most important rule of the collective.
