Art Print “Unkrautgesellschaft”
It was a peaceful and sunny morning, the insects were buzzing and the meadow cat’s-tail (Phleum pratense) woke up.
This summer grass, which prefers wild meadows, pastures and colorful roadsides and is very robust and resilient to trampling, belongs between asphalt and cobblestones to the modern society of weeds in large cities and can also be found up to 2000 metres above sea level at the Kanzelwandhaus near Riezlern in the Allgäu Alps.
With a lot of endurance and extreme resistance, it freely satisfies its daily needs and multiplies as a classic Velcro fastener via its glume, which is lined with stiff-haired lashes on the back.
Apparently uniform to the naked eye, but on closer inspection grasses are extremely complex and highly motivated life forms.
With our art print “Unkrautgesellschaft” we would like to offer you the chance to explore the secrets of meadow cat’s-tail grass more closely.
